Publication Ethics

The editorial board of Scientific Bulletin of AIC Economics and Management  adheres to the publishing standards of COPE Code of Conduct, approved by  COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics), and relies on the valuable experience of reputable international journals and publishers. In addition, the editorial policy of the Scientific Bulletin of AIC Economics and Management is guided by the Code of Ethics of the University Community of Bila Tserkva NAU  and the Regulations on Academic Integrity at BilaTserkva National Agrarian University. The editors consider it important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the editor(s), the peer reviewer and the publisher.
The editorial policy of the Bulletinis based on the principles of objectivity and impartiality in the selection of articles for publication and places high demands on the quality of scientific research and manuscriptsmandatory review.
Materials that have previously been published in other scientific journals may not be published in the Scientific Bulletin of AIC Economics and Management.
The editorial board validates the intellectual content of the manuscripts, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious preferences, citizenship, social status or political preferences of the authors.
All manuscripts submitted to the editors must be reviewed according to the established procedure.
All articles approved by the editorial board must be checked for plagiarism withUnicheck software products or other certified platforms.
A positive review is followed by the procedure of internal content and line editing, proofreading, formatting and laying out according to the editorial standards. Edits that may change the content of the text are agreed with the author.
The editorial board of the journal has the right to reject articles that do not meet the requirements and topics of the Bulletin. The rejected manuscripts are not re-examined.
 
Ethical responsibilities of authors
Authors must adhere to high standards of publication ethics, liaise with the editor, publisher and co-authors. Authors should refrain from distorting research results that could undermine the credibility of a scientific publication.
By submitting a manuscript to publishing, the author (co-authors) confirms that the manuscript meets the highest ethical standards.
Authors are responsible for the research results novelty and reliability, as well as for compliance with the principles of academic integrity.
The research results presented in the manuscript must be reliable. Falsification or selective presentation of data to falsify conclusions is unacceptable.
 Authors must ensure that the research results are original. Authors must include in-text citations whenever they refer to, summarize, paraphrase, or quote from another source. In addition, every time a wok is cited within a paper, a corresponding entry must be included in the reference list.
Excessive citations, as well as plagiarism, paraphrasing or misappropriation of research rights, is unacceptable.
Authors should recognize the contribution of all persons who contributed to the study. The article should provide references to all the papers used in the study.
All researchers who have made a significant contribution to the manuscript should be listed as co-authors. Other researchers who have been involved in certain aspects of the study should be mentioned in the Acknowledgments section.
Authors may not submit a manuscript or any part of it that has been sent to other publishing house (scientific or non-scientific) or is under consideration, and may not submit the materials that have already been published.
To ensure objectivity and transparency, authors should include information on funding sources, potential conflicts of interest (financial or non-financial), and informed consent of people involved in the study.
If the author finds significant errors or inaccuracies in the article at the stage of its consideration or after its publication, they must notify the editor(s) as soon as possible.
The editors reserve the right to reject articles in which ethical aspects are questionable, based on the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
 
Ethical responsibilities of the editor and editorial board
The editors of the journal should constantly work to improve the journal.
The editor-in-chief decides on the publication of the submitted manuscripts, guided by the Bulletin publishing policy, reliability of the results submitted, scientific novelty and practical significance, the conclusion of the reviewers.
 The editor-in-chief should not skew the fairness of the publishing process.
The editor-in-chief, the members of the editorial board and publishers must ensure the confidentiality of all received manuscripts and their content.
The editor-in-chief and editorial staff must ensure the confidentiality of information about reviewers. If a new reviewer is hired, the latter may be informed of the names of the previous ones.
 None of the members of the editorial board may use unpublished materials obtained from the submitted manuscripts for personal purposes or transfer them to third parties without the written permission of the authors.
The editorial board of the Bulletin is guided by current provisions on defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism and has the right to make decisions in consultation with reviewers or members of the editorial board.
The editor-in-chief must reject the work if there is any reason to believe that the submitted manuscript is plagiarized or there is a conflict of interest due to joint, competitive or other relations with any of the authors involved in the manuscript. The editor-in-chief should require all participants in the review process to disclose relevant competing interests.
 The editor-in-chief and the editorial board should not leave the claims regarding the manuscripts or published materials unanswered. In the event of a conflict, all measures should be taken to restore the violated rights.  Should any mistakes be revealed, the editorial board promotes the publication of corrections or rebuttals.
The editor-in-chief may ask the author(s) to respond to the claim, request an investigation by the institution or other relevant authorities if the author's response(s) is unsatisfactory.
 
Ethical responsibilities of reviewers
 The reviewer makes an objective assessment of the quality of the submitted manuscript and determines its compliance with scientific, literary and ethical standards. The reviewer must be impartial.
The peer reviewing aims to help the author improve the quality of the article and assist the editor-in-chief in making decision on the publication.
If the reviewer, in their opinion, does not have sufficient qualifications to evaluate the manuscript or is unable to provide a timely review of the article, they must notify the editor-in-chief and refuse the review.
A reviewer may not be a co-author of an article submitted for review, a supervisor of a degree or an employee of the department in which the author works.
Reviewers should not retain copies of submitted manuscripts and should not use the knowledge of their content for any purpose unrelated to the peer review process.  Reviewers should not publicly discuss the authors' work and their ideas before publishing the manuscript.
Reviewers must respond promptly to requests for review and submit reviews at the agreed time. Reviewers' comments should be constructive, reasoned and polite.
The reviewer must ensure that the article cites all relevant work by other scientists.
If a reviewer suspects plagiarism or datafalsification, they must notify the editorial board.
The reviewer should alert the editor about any potential personal, financial or perceived conflict of interest and decline to review when a conflict exists.
 
Open access policy
The editorial board supports the principles of free dissemination of scientific information and global exchange of knowledge for the general social progress.
The Scientific Bulletin of AIC Economics and Management an open access journal: viewing, reading, downloading and printing is free for all Internet users.  
Access to the contents of the journal is possible immediately after the paper version publication.
Full-text access to scientific articles of the journal is presented on the official website in the Archives.
